WEST CALN TOWNSHIP, PA—Residents lit candles Friday evening in honor of Scotty McMillan, the three-year-old boy who was reportedly beaten to death by his mother and her boyfriend in Chester County.
Hundreds of people turned out to remember a 3-year-old boy, and a mother, who were killed in two separate murders in Chester County this week in honor of the little boy.
A vigil on Friday night for Scotty at the Gateway Church in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania from 7 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Arrested suspects, mother, Jillian Tait, and Gary Fellenbaum Thursday for allegedly beating the young boy to death.
They are also accused of beating Scotty’s brother six-year-old Ryan McMillan.
Both children are Tait’s from a previous relationship.
As a grieving community mourned the loss of the three-year-old boy, they gathered to grieve the violence that struck twice in their community this week.
Authorities and investigators showed off photos of some of the weapons Fellenbaum, 23, used on Scotty while Tait, 31, admittedly sometimes watched and laughed. Included in the items were a makeshift whip, a curtain rod, an aluminum strip and photos of holes in the wall where Fellenbaum slammed Scotty and his 6-year-old brother’s heads into the wall.
A look at the makeshift whip, curtain rod and aluminum strip investigators said were used to abuse Scotty McMillan. The photo in the lower right shows damage to the wall that investigators said was caused by Gary Fellenbaum slamming his girlfriend’s children into the wall.
Scotty McMillan was tied upside down by his feet and beaten to death.
Scott I am so sorry this happened to you. I am so sorry that you were let down by your mother, the one person who’s love should be rooted so deep, that she should have protected you. I do not understand how after creating a life and nurturing it for 9 months and then another 3 years how you could allow this too happen. Scott you are an angel who can no longer be hurt. You should have your whole life ahead of you but yet it got cut short.
May God hold you in his arms and take away the pain and show you the unconditional love you deserve. I am so sorry this happened to you little angel. Rest in peace, there are strangers that do care about you and love you.
