British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran hooked up with bandleader Jools Holland on Wednesday for BBC’s New Year’s Eve show “Jools’ Annual Hootenanny.”
Complete with horns and Jools on the piano, the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer took on Stevie Wonder’s reggae-infused track “Master Blaster.”
“Master Blaster (Jammin’)” is a single written, produced and performed by Stevie Wonder and is from his album “Hotter Than July”.
Sheeran proved he can pull off pretty much any genre of music. He easily pulled off the performance, with the smokiest and most raw part of his voice shining through. His raspy vocals worked well with the song, adding in a bit of blues into the reggae beat and the funky horns.
