According to PNP’s public information office in the Ilocos Region, the men in the viral video have been charged with alarm and scandal before the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur.

The men in the video were identified as Cezar L. Funtanilla, Mark R-Jay Cabana, Jumar Cabreros, Ian Cristopher Calixterio, Russel Funtanilla, Philip Andrew Funtanilla, Geronimo Gomez and Mark Cachola, who were all residents of Barangay San Antonio in Narvacan town, GMA News reported.

The men were seen repeatedly shooting their firearms in the video, while their photo shows a man holding a dipper-full of bullets.

As of Sunday morning, January 4, the Philippine National Police revealed 43 injuries due to stray bullets.

Meanwhile an 11-year-old girl was killed when a stray bullet from a caliber .45 firearm hit her while she was standing outside the house with her family.

“We urge the public to report their neighbors who have fired their guns indiscriminately during the past yuletide seasons so that we can take legal action against them and assured that identities of the informants will be kept with utmost secrecy,” said Ilocos regional director Chief Supt. Roman A. Felix.
