WATCH: The Voice 2014 Finale - Matt McAndrew Sings “Over the Rainbow”

Matt McAndrew pulls out all the stops, covering the classic “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

First, all four of the finalist gave an excellent performances. This song is iconic and performed millions of times. I too am wondering why would Adam hand it to him. Matt did the best he could and sang the lyrics with his soft, airy and signature toned vocals.

Both his vocal crescendo and long high note at the end were great. There are tons of songs which Adam/Matt could have chosen (Radiohead, etc…) which would have literally shaken the building with an even louder applause. His single release is the best! That said, this was indeed an epic performance!
